(Franklin, GA) — The 10U Heard County Braves football team ended the season with an exciting 29-19 win over the Mount Zion Eagles Tuesday night at Staples Stadium in Franklin.

The game featured a plethora of first half scoring before the defenses for both quads took over late in the game.

The Braves led 29-19 at the half and that tally would remain before an exciting touchdown run on a 4th down and 8 by Amari Heath sealed the win for the Braves with just over two minutes to go in the game.

Heath had three TD runs in the game including a 44-yard scamper that gave the Braves a 23-13 lead in the second quarter.

Quarterback Major Lasseter scored the other Braves TD and also connected on two 2-point conversion passes.

Layne Toney came up with the huge defensive play for the Braves when he recovered an Eagle fumble to thwart a potential third quarter scoring drive.
