2 Heard athletes place at Special Olympics Masters Bowling Tournament

Dennis Shaw and Tonya Hull participated in the Special Olympics Masters Bowling Tournament Friday, Feb. 1st at Junction Lanes in Newnan, and both of them ended the day as big winners!

Representing Heard County with great competitiveness and sportsmanship, Tonya Hull achieved an average score of 80 defeating the ladies from Coweta and Fayette Counties. Tonya won the 3rd place trophy on lane #5.

Against the strong male competitors from Coweta and Spalding Counties, Dennis Shaw came out on top with the 1st place trophy on lane #24. Bowling two strikes in a row, Dennis nudged by his competitors with an average score of 155 for the two games.

Friday, Feb. 1st was a great day for the Heard County alumni athletes. Congratulations to Dennis Shaw and Tonya Hull!
