(Centralhatchee) — For the last five years, Zumba instructor Danielle Thompson has coordinated an annual “Zumbathon” for a local medical charity.
This year she decided to host the event for one of her dear friends, Centralhatchee Elementary teacher Mrs. Ginger Stutts who is currently facing a difficult battle with cancer.
The “2014 Zumbathon Shake and Shimmy for a Cause” will take place on Saturday, August 23, 2014 between the hours of 11:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m. at the Centralhatchee Elementary School gymnasium located at 315 Centralhatchee Parkway in Franklin.
The unique event promises fun for the whole family including vendors, dancing, face painting, and raffles.
The fee for Zumba participants is $20 and includes a t-shirt while the entry fee for spectators is $5.
Local businesses and sponsors may also purchase advertising on t-shirts for the event.
Mrs. Ginger Stutts
When asked why she chose Mrs. Stutts for this year’s benefits, Danielle didn’t hesitate to answer.
“I picked Ginger as my cause for this year’s Zumbathon because she is a sweet dear friend of mine, and I have always considered her a part of my family. You don’t meet people like the Stutts family that often. They would do anything for anybody. I love them dearly,” said Thompson.
