2019 Heard County Christmas Parade and Event Guide

(Heard County, GA) — Several community Christmas events are taking place this weekend and HeardCitizen.com has combined the information for all of these local events below for your convenience.

City Christmas Parades and correlated events will take place on Friday and Saturday in Franklin, Centralhatchee, and Ephesus.

2019 Christmas Parade and Event Guide

Winterfest in Downtown Franklin

The square in downtown Franklin will once again play host to the annual Winterfest celebration on Friday, December 6, 2019 beginning at 4:00 p.m.

Admission is free and the celebration will feature food, drinks, music, arts & crafts, live music from Charles Hudgins, and holiday music as well as photos with Santa.

Please bring a new, unwrapped toy for the Heard County Sheriff’s Office Annual Toy Drive to benefit local, needy children. The parade begins at 6:00 PM.

Ephesus Christmas Parade and Bazaar

The annual City of Ephesus Christmas Parade and Bazaar will take place this Saturday, December 7.

The lineup for the parade will begin at 9:30 at the Hoyt Rogers Field, and the parade will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m.

Businesses and organizations are invited to enter a float, antique car, motorcycle, truck, horse & buggy, etc this year.

Immediately following the parade, Ephesus Elementary School will be hosting the Christmas Bazaar and Festival from 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM.

There will be all sorts of games to play including Bingo, Cake Walk, Toy Walk, and much more. Ephesus Baptist Church will provide hot dogs, chips and water free of charge!

Town of Centralhatchee Christmas Parade

Please join the Town of Centralhatchee to kick off the holiday season this year with its Annual Christmas Parade.

Citizens, friends and families are encouraged to line up along Centralhatchee Parkway and enjoy the parade on Saturday, December 7th at 2:00 PM.

If you would like to participate in the parade with a float, car, truck, tractor, etc., they will line up beginning at 1:30 PM on Paschal Lane.

Following the parade, everyone is invited for the lighting of the Community Christmas Tree at the City Park. Cookies, coffee, and hot chocolate will be served under the large pavilion for all to enjoy.

The First Baptist Church of Centralhatchee will be serving refreshments in their Fellowship Hall and have Santa on hand to greet the kids!

4th Annual Trot for Tots at the Heard County Arena

This Saturday, December 7, 2019, The Cowboy Shop Productions, owned by Shari Wilkins of Roopville, will hold its 4th annual Trot for Tots and Team Challenge barrel race and NBHA Show. The event starts at 2:00 PM at the Heard County Arena.

The events focus will be to raise money and bring in donations for the Heard County Sheriff’s Department and Heard County’s local food bank. You may start dropping off items at 11:00 AM.

The event will feature a silent cake auction and door prizes as well as Free Santa pictures from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM! West Ga Jr Rodeo will be on site with pony rides & bucking bull machine, all to help with the Secret Santa program. This event will be open to the public, and door prize tickets can be “purchased” in exchange for an unwrapped toy, or three canned goods. There is no limit on how many chances you can buy.

If you are unable to attend but would like to still help, we would love to have cakes, pies and baked goods donated for the cake auction, as well as any items for door prizes.
