2020 Heard County Christmas Parade and Event Preview

Winterfest in Downtown Franklin

The square in downtown Franklin will once again play host to the annual Winterfest celebration on Saturday, December 5, 2020 from 4:00 PM-9:30PM.

Admission is FREE and the celebration will feature the Christmas Parade at 6:00 PM, live music by Charlie Hudgins from 7:00-8:00 PM, photos with Santa from 7:00-8:30 PM, Christmas Tree lighting at 8:30 PM and a Fireworks Show at 9:00 PM.

Please bring a new, unwrapped toy for the Heard County Sheriff’s Office Annual Toy Drive to benefit local, needy children. The parade begins at 6:00 PM.

Ephesus Christmas Parade and Bazaar

The annual City of Ephesus Christmas Parade will take place this Saturday, December 5.

The lineup for the parade will begin at 9:15 AM at Hoyt Rogers Field, and the parade will begin promptly at 10:00 AM.

Town of Centralhatchee Christmas Parade

Please join the Town of Centralhatchee to kick off the holiday season this year with its Annual Christmas Parade.

Citizens, friends and families are encouraged to line up along Centralhatchee Parkway and enjoy the parade on Saturday, December 5th at 2:00 PM.

If you would like to participate in the parade with a float, car, truck, tractor, etc., they will line up beginning at 1:30 PM on Paschal Lane.

Following the parade, everyone is invited to come enjoy cookies, coffee, and hot chocolate under the large pavilion at the City Park.

The First Baptist Church of Centralhatchee will be serving refreshments in their Fellowship Hall and have Santa on hand to greet the kids!

Christmas at the Campground

West Georgians and East Alabamians will get the opportunity to experience a brand new Christmas Event this year at Flat Rock Campground located on HWY 34 just a few miles west of Franklin.

‘Christmas at the Campground’ will take place at the historical venue on Saturday, December 5 from 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM.

The all day event will feature Santa Claus himself, holiday music, local artisans, craft and food vendors, live entertainment, and horse-drawn hay rides as well as tours of the historic hand-hewn timber framed arbor and the nature conservancy area where over 100 acres of flat granite rock are located.

Admission and parking are FREE for ‘Christmas at the Campground,” and there is also no charge for the wagon rides. A photographer will be available for photos with Santa.

Available foods and refreshments at the festival will include coffee, breakfast biscuits, homemade soups and chilis, hot dogs, hamburgers, boiled peanuts, and a large variety of sweets. The venue will also serve as a drop off point for “Toys for Tots.”
