Absentee Ballots Now Available

(Franklin, GA) — Absentee ballots are now being mailed to voters across Georgia and Heard County.

You may also download an application from the following site https://sos.ga.gov/admin/files/Absentee_Ballot_Application_2018.pdf

Or you may request an application to be sent to you in the mail by calling the Elections Office at 706-675-3907.

Under certain circumstances someone may fill out an application for an absentee ballot for their relative.

When you receive your ballot fill out the ballot and return it. You may either drop it in the mail to the Elections Office or return it in person.

There will be NO external drop boxes in use in Heard County, but you may hand in the ballot at the Elections Office during office hours, Early Voting, or on Election Day.

If you receive a ballot but have decided to vote in person, DO NOT THROW THE BALLOT AWAY. Write the words “CANCELED BALLOT” on the envelope and bring it with you when you vote in person (either during Early Voting or on Election Day at the precinct).

If you applied for a ballot but do not receive it before September 25, please call the Elections Office.
