(Carroll County, GA) — Police over the weekend determined that the man who was shot while allegedly attempting to rob a Villa Rica Waffle House over-night Thursday is the same man whose lifeless body was found on a Carrollton city street several hours later.

Authorities have yet to release a motive for the attempted robbery, but have identified the deceased male as 28-year old Adrian Wordlow of Bowdon.

Wordlow was a youth pastor, singer, song-writer, musician and entrepreneur, according to his Facebook page and other  reports.

According to Villa Rica Police,  at approximately 12:30 am Thursday, Wordlow entered the Waffle House on highway 61, pointed a gun at the employees and announced that he was robbing the business. A customer who was dining inside then shot Wordlow… and Wordlow fled from the restaurant.

Approximately seven hours later, a Carrollton city work crew found Wordlow’s body on Brown Street- face down. He had reportedly died as a result of that gunshot.

Villa Rica Police Captain Keith Shaddix says no charges are expected against the man who fired his weapon inside the restaurant. “Nothing in the investigation shows anything other than the customer with the gun defending the restaurant employee,” Shaddix told WLBB Radio.

  1. I think it more to the story! That’s the second black man killed in Carrollton and nothing was done.

    • Maybe if you didn’t want to be shot he shouldn’t have pulled a gun on people and tried to rob a Waffle House…

    • He got what he deserved regardless of color..lakisha bet you would of not had anything to say about it if it was a white man..and I am a proud white redneck. You are racist..

    Awsome,

  3. If you try and rob someone at gun point you deserve to be shot regardless of color

  4. Campbell, your comment and lack of ability to spell a simple word makes you appear to be an ignorant redneck.

Its sad that anyone first thought on this is that oh no another Black man shot. My first thought is what changed a man from a youth pastor to someone who Chose to try rob at gunpoint. Why everytime a black man is shot by someone protecting or even by cops is there people that immediately blame everyone else except the individual that put themselves in a position to be shot. With all this fighting taking our rights to pray away As AMERICANS NOT BLACK OR WHITE but a UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Sorry dont usually rant on this stuff but just read where a high school football player was fired for praying by himself on 50 yard line after a game. No one else around. That’s what is happening because we are divided & other nationalities & religions are taking over. Please stop with racism over black n white but unite to fight for our country before to late. They are winning the war not with guns or planes but they are winning

  6. My comment is to the writer of the story. “Authorities have yet to release a motive for the attempted robbery…” Really? The motive for a robbery is clear and does not need to be “released” by the authorities (as if “authorities” had it but were keeping it a secret, or in a cage).
