ATF Announces $5,000 Reward for Information on Unsolved Rockmart Homicide

(Atlanta, GA) — The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), Atlanta Field Division today announced a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the shooting death of Desmond Ray Kinnemore, a 19 year old black male, in Rockmart, Georgia on Jan. 8, 2013.

Kinnemore was shot and killed near the intersection of Morgan Valley Road and Second Street in Rockmart at approximately 10:30 a.m.

“It is particularly important in investigations involving the loss of life that all efforts are exhausted in removing those responsible from our streets,” said Assistant Special Agent in Charge Ray Brown.  “ATF along with our Federal, state and local law enforcement partners are committed to making our communities a safe place to live, work and play.”

In the months since the Kinnemore shooting, the Polk County Police Department and the Rockmart Police Department along with agents from ATF, FBI, and Georgia Bureau of Investigation have continued to investigate the homicide.

ATF is offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and prosecution of the responsible individual(s).  Anyone with information is encouraged to call the ATF case agent at 706-614-1622.  Callers can remain anonymous.
