‘Back To School Bash’ planned as a drive-thru event

(Franklin, GA) — The annual Back to School Bash event hosted by Heard County Community Partnership will have a new format for 2020.

In the interest of community health and safety, the Bash will be a drive-thru event held at Heard County High School.

The Bash will be Saturday, August 1st from 9:00 to 11:00 AM, or while supplies last.

Student enrollment in Heard County Schools will be verified, and students must be present to receive their supply kit; limit one (1) kit per child.

While the format of the event has changed, the Partnership’s commitment to supporting Heard County students remains.

Kathy Knowles, executive director of the Partnership stated, “Through the generous support of our Heard County community and area partners, we have been able to order more supply kits for this event than ever before. It is our goal to provide supplies to as many students as possible, and parents will be provided area resource information.”

The Partnership staff and community volunteers look forward to serving you on August 1st.

Special thanks to event sponsors: West Georgia Technical College, Heard County Commissioners, City of Franklin, City of Ephesus, Town of Centralhatchee, Heard County Sheriff’s Office, Franklin Police Department, and the Department of Family and Children’s Services.
