The DAR Good Citizen Program has been in existence since 1934 and recognizes outstanding young people that exhibit the qualities of good citizenship in their homes, schools and communities.

The student selected as the school’s DAR good Citizen must possess the following qualities: Dependability, Service, Leadership and Patriotism.

BettyJean’s peers, the students of HCHS Senior Class selected her for this award.

As a senior, BettyJean is very busy with her classes.

She is President of the Student Council, Secretary for the National Honor Society and Cheer Captain for the high school.

BettyJean’s future plans are to attend college and pursue a Business Degree.

As our recipient of this award, BettyJean will receive the DAR Good Citizen pin, a Certificate of Award and a scholarship from the chapter that will be awarded in 2020.

We would like to thank Becky Roberts, Counselor at HCHS, for her continued help and support of this national program.
