As the results of the local elections rolled in Tuesday night little was left in doubt with all three winners handily taking office by big numbers.
In the commission chair race, former district commissioner Lee Boone garnered 67% of the vote defeating newcomer Russ Massa.
In the sheriff’s race incumbent Ross Henry defeated Doyle Scott with 71% of the vote tally. Another incumbent Kathie Buchanan defeated Brannon Gray with 65% of the votes.
Boone released the following statement after the results had come in: “I want to first of all thank the voters and I also want to thank Russ for a very interesting, spirited campaign that was a learning experience for me in regards to the social media aspect of his campaign,” stated Boone.
