Brannon Gray announces candidacy for Heard County Commission District 4

Young Candidate promises to fight for less government, more personal responsibility, and a better Community

Republican Brannon Gray announced his candidacy for Heard County Commission District 4 with a Campaign Kick-off Celebration Turkey Shoot scheduled for this Sunday afternoon.

“I’ve been involved in public service all my life,” said Gray. “I served in the Army as a Combat Medic and volunteered positions in many campaigns for state, local, and national office. Like most people, the happenings in government over the past several years have caused me to become concerned with where our country is being led. What I have found is that meaningful political action is done on the local level. So,rather than complaining and not offering solutions, I have decided to do what I can to make a difference locally. The local county level government is the most important in my eyes, it’s our community and we have to take care of it.”

Gray currently serves as the Vice-Chairman for the Heard County Republican Party, 3rd Dist. Committeeman, State Committeeman, and was elected to represent Heard County as a delegate to the 2012 Ga. State GOP Convention. Gray is also a member of the Oathkeepers organization, a private membership of those who have taken the oath (to Protect and Defend the Constitution) seriously.

“We owe it to ourselves to leave the next generation better off than we are. I’ve taken an interest in Public Service because I think there is a lot of room to make things better.”

Gray, born and raised in Lynn Haven, Fl., moved to Franklin six years ago and now works at Kia Motors Manufacturing of Georgia.
