Many friends and associates dropped by to show their love and gratitude to Myra for her years of service.

Mayor Joel Rogers presented her with a plaque honoring her 16 years of service with the City of Franklin.

“I started on the city council a year after Myra started, we have seen a lot of changes together,” said Mayor Rogers. “With her leaving it’s like losing an encyclopedia of information. She will be missed.”

Myra began working with the city in July 2000 and her last official day will be December 30th.  Karen Boyd will be taking her place as city clerk beginning in January of 2017.

Myra plans to enjoy her retirement by doing a little traveling.

“It’s been a pleasure getting to know everyone,” said Braswell. “My job has put me in touch with a lot of people that I wouldn’t have gotten to know otherwise. I have had a lot of good memories with the city.”
