NEWS AND NOTES

College Commitment — Senior Brave linebacker Quay Daniel signed to play football with Ridgewater College in Wilmar, MN last week. Quay is the 5th Brave football player to advance to the next level this year.

All-Region Basketball Team — The 2015-2016 All-Region 5-AA basketball team was selected last week. Stay tuned for a full report and results later this week.

Tennis Opener — The Braves’ varsity tennis teams will open the 2016 season Thursday at Troup County High School.

Jordan POWBrave Nation Player of the Week: The Player of the Week is HHS Lady Brave Ms. Jordan Watson.

Jordan was a beast defensively in the come-from-behind Region Championship win over Manchester Saturday night grabbing a game high 17 rebounds and also scoring five points. 

Congratulations to Jordan for being named this week’s Player of the Week!

D-1 Offer — Brave sophomore quarterback Emory Jones received a scholarship offer from the University of Tennessee over the weekend. Emory now has offers from UT, Mississippi St., Georgia Southern, and Colorado State.

Baseball Preview — HeardCitizen.com will have a full baseball preview posted tomorrow in advance of tomorrow afternoon’s season opener vs. Landmark.

Perfect Season — The HCPR 10U Braves boys basketball team completed an impressive undefeated season at 14-0 last week. See above for a team picture of the squad coached by Ben Cosper and Vincent Echols.
