NEWS AND NOTES

Record Breaker — Sophomore Jaden Moreland set a new HHS football record with his 5th interception of the season Friday night at Chattahoochee County.

Mud Bowl II — The JV Braves lost to Greenville 8-7 Thursday at Greenville in a game dubbed “Mud Bowl II” by those in attendance. In the original “Mud Bowl” the varsity Braves defeated Bowdon 14-7 in the mud at Central High School on November 15, 2002.

Emory POWBrave Nation Player of the Week: The Player of the Week is varsity football player Mr. Emory Jones.

Jones was huge in the Braves’ 41-20 win over Chattahoochee Co. Friday throwing 3 TD passes and accounting for over 250 yards of total offense. He also had a big hit on defense.

Congrats to Emory  for being named this week’s Player of the Week.

Game Changers — The 10U football game that was to be hosted last Saturday at HCPR has been rescheduled for Tuesday night. See schedule below for other new game times and match-ups.

Swindle’s Birthday — One of the most popular Brave athletes of all time, Mr. Shuntavius Swindle (Class of 2010) celebrates a birthday Tuesday, October 6.

It’s Classified — After the GHSA committee voted on new classifications for the next two year, it is still very unclear where the Braves will fall as far as region play. While it seems the Braves will remain in Class AA, it looks like other current region schools may be on the move to other classifications. Stay tuned for more info as it becomes available in the coming months.

Pink-Out T-Shirts — T-shirts may be ordered from a member of the Braves’ Marching Band for $10 each (extra charge for big sizes).
