The Braves knocked off the Tigers handily by a final score of 18-1 in three innings.

Auston Wilson earned his sixth win of the season and looked sharp over two innings of work allowing just one hit and only throwing 19 pitches.

Freshman Tray Owens worked the third inning for the Braves allowing a run on two hits.

At the plate, several Braves had big days including freshman Dale Thornhill who tallied three hits to raise his average to .409 for the season.

Trey Alford, Tanner Collins, and Bryan Jones each had two base hits while Ethan Brant had a double and drove in four runs.

Alford had three RBI’s while Jones, Logan Ward, and Drew Hopkins each had two.

The Braves move to 15-5 overall and 7-0 in region play and will return home to host the Tigers in the series ending doubleheader this Friday at 4:30 PM.

The race for the Region 5-AA crown appears to be only a two horse race with the Braves and Callaway each sitting atop the standings at 7-0.

The two rival squads meet in a huge series next week with the Braves hosting the Cavs on Tuesday before traveling to Lagrange for a doubleheader on Friday.
