Senior Deron Swint has been on fire this week scoring 23 in Tuesday’s win over Bremen

(Franklin) — The Braves basketball team continued to click on all cylinders Tuesday night at HHS where they knocked off another region rival the Bremen Blue Devils by a final score of 60-41.

It was a remarkable turnaround especially considering the Braves were blasted by the Blue Devils 81-45 just 10 days ago in Bremen.

Coach Manning’s squad seems to be coming together and functioning very well as a team after two key players, starting center Levi Brown and guard Corey Chapman, quit the team recently.

Deron Swint continued to light up the scoreboard Tuesday night scoring 23 points while senior Jonathon Hunt had 11 and junior Elijah Toney added 10.

“Swint is playing like a region player of the year candidate right now,” said Manning after Tuesday’s game.

The Lady Braves also came out strong knocking off the Lady Blue Devils for the second time this season 59-37.

Both teams look to continue their solid play when they travel to Temple tonight to face the Tigers in another Region 5-AA contest.

The HCMS Boys were ousted from the middle school tournament on Tuesday falling to Mt. Zion in the semi-finals.
