Braves to host Lovett Lions in GHSA playoff series

The Braves baseball team will host the Lovett Lions from Atlanta in the first round of the GHSA State Playoffs beginning with a doubleheader tomorrow at the high school.

The first pitch for game one will happen at 4:00 p.m. and game two will immediately follow. In the event of a split in the two games a third and deciding series finale would begin Saturday at 1:00 p.m. also at home.

The Lions, who are coached by Lance Oubs, come into the series with an overall record of 15-11 and a region record of 12-3. They are the number three seed from Region 6-AA.

Coach Shane Lassetter and his Braves enter the series as the Region 5-AA number two seed and sport an overall record of 13-13 with a region record of 11-3.

Tickets prices for each day are $7 each as mandated by the GHSA. Patrons and fans are advised to arrive early to support the Braves in what should be an exciting series of baseball.
