Chief Scott Blue was on the scene and stated that the family had not been located, but neighbors did report that the family of four that lives at the property got out safely and were not injured.
“My kids and I were all awakened by a very loud explosion-like sound this morning,” stated Brian Freeman, the closest neighbor to the house. “I though it was thunder and might be raining until I saw a glow over at the neighbor’s house and realized what was happening.”
Chief Blue said the fire is still under investigation and it would take more time to pinpoint the cause. Stay tuned to HeardCitizen.com for further updates as they become available.
