Man arrested after threatening co-workers with firearms

(Lagrange, GA) — A disgruntled employee of a Lagrange business was arrested by deputies with the Troup County Sheriff’s Office Thursday after he allegedly displayed a firearm and threatened to kill his co-workers.

According to a press release issued by TCSO spokesperson Sgt. Stewart Smith, deputies responded to Midsouth Mechanical at 253 S. Davis Road after being notified that the man threatened to kill fellow employees with a firearm.

The suspect, 52-year-old Anthony Moss of Franklin, actually displayed a gun as he screamed death threats to employees during the incident.

When TCSO deputies arrived on the scene they discovered Moss in possession of two firearms.

Deputies were able to disarm Moss and take him into custody without further incident.

Moss is charged with terroristic threats and acts, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and aggravated assault.

This is what makes it look bad for honest,kind,caring,loving,good people to be able to carry a gun for their family and self for protection.This is an act of an unfit man to own or carry a gun.How can you weed out these kind of people? I don’t think any one has the answer.Thank God he didn’t shoot any one.

      Excuse me Janelle Edmondson !! I am the God loving WIFE of the this MAN !! By no means am i trying to find excuses for my husband. None of us know what is on a persons mind and you have NO right to throw stones so with all due respect would you be kind enough to keep your thoughts to yourself. There is ALWAYS two sides to every story ! I understood your comment until the remark “UNFIT”. Shame on you because this Man happens to have a family. Have a good day !
