Overnight crash claims life of young father

(Franklin, GA) — A local father and 2012 graduate of Heard County High School was killed in a crash around midnight Friday.

Adam Cosper

24-year-old Adam Logan Cosper of Franklin died following a single-vehicle crash near the 1100 block of Pea Ridge Road.

According to a report released this afternoon by Trooper Chris Davison with the Georgia State Patrol, Cosper was traveling northbound on Pea Ridge in a 2013 Honda Tucson when he left the roadway and struck a tree.

He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The accident is still under investigation, but it is believed alcohol and speeding were contributing factors in the crash.

Adam was an apprentice lineman and the father of two young boys. He had a tremendous passion for hunting and fishing.
