Roanoke man in coma after Monday crash

(Franklin, GA) — An Alabama man is in a medically induced coma today at Grady Hospital in Atlanta after a rollover crash on Hwy 34 West Monday evening caused him severe head trauma.

According to a report issued by Georgia State Trooper George Cotton, 24-year-old Bradford William Davis of Roanoke was driving a 1997 Honda Accord in the single vehicle crash.

Davis was traveling westbound on Hwy 34 near the intersection of Redland Rd when a wet roadway contributed to him losing control of the vehicle and he overturned down an embankment on the north side of the road. The brunt of the impact was to the top of the car on the driver’s side.

Upon further investigation, Trooper Cotton found that the back tires on the vehicle were very slick which was a contributing factor as well.

Davis was unconscious as he was transported from the scene by Heard County Emergency Services to West Georgia Medical Center in Lagrange before being moved on to Grady.
