A Senoia woman was killed early this morning in a fiery crash on Charlie B. Johnston Road in eastern Heard County.

Gordy Wright with the Georgia State Patrol reports that the female was traveling northbound in a 2011 Ford Fusion when her vehicle drifted onto the east shoulder of the road, hitting a culvert followed by an embankment before rolling over and catching fire.

Heard County deputies were dispatched to the scene at 12:08 a.m.

The female driver, the only occupant in the vehicle, was severely burned in the fire.

Heard County coroner Kathie Buchanan confirmed the identity of the victim this afternoon as Jennifer Bocaranbo, a 40-year-old white female.

The body was transported to the state crime lab for further examination. The Georgia State Patrol is in charge of the investigation.
