(UPDATED): Two HHS students involved in rollover crash

(UPDATE: The Heard Citizen spoke with Carlton White Sunday morning and he is back at home and doing better with only minor injuries)

(Franklin, GA) — Two Heard County High School students were involved in a rollover accident on U.S. Hwy 27 Thursday afternoon just south of Franklin.

According to a report by the Georgia State Patrol, 19-year-old senior Carlton White was airlifted to Grady Hospital with serious injuries following the single vehicle crash.

A female passenger in the car, sophomore HHS student Navaeh McKinley, walked away and was not seriously injured.

Reports indicate a 2005 Hyundai Elantra driven by White was traveling southbound on U.S. 27 when for unknown reasons, he lost control of the vehicle.
