(Franklin, GA) — Two Roanoke, AL men are in the Heard County jail this morning and charged with stealing from a major local business.
According to a report from Franklin Police Department investigator Lt. Tino Brooks, one of the men had contracted with JAC Products to remove scrap pallets from the property at 226 Mary Johnson Drive in Franklin.
However, in addition to the scrap pallets, the men were allegedly caught on video sneaking some of the heavy aluminum billets used by the manufacturer off of the property as well.
46-year-old Tyrone Johnson and 56-year-old Thomas Staples are each charged with Felony Theft-by Taking after being arrested by the FPD on Thursday.
Johnson was the individual contracted by the company for the pallet removal.
