Cavaliers Second Half Surge Drops Braves to 0-14

The Braves went to the locker room at halftime Friday night in Hogansville with as much momentum as they have been able to muster this season.

A 19-13 run in the second quarter erased a good part of what had been a 10 point Cav lead after one quarter.

Unfortunately for Coach Red Keith and company, the momentum would be short lived as the Cavaliers quickly re-extended the lead to double digits in the third quarter.

Despite a 20 point effort from sophomore Jonathan Hunt, the boys fell to 0-14 on the season after the final of 78-46 was posted.

The Lady Braves continued their move in the opposite direction as they scorched the Lady Cavaliers 65-39. Jemeka Parks scored 16 points including three 3-pointers and Reece Walker was not far behind scoring 15. Aaliyah Rutledge continued to impress as she to reached double digits with 11.

Whitney Emory came off the bench with an impressive six points in limited minutes. The games were played in front of a packed house at Hogansville Elementary School. Both teams return to action back at home Tuesday night versus McIntosh from region 3-AAAA.
