(Franklin, GA) — Last week, the annual Flat Rock Camp Meeting was held at Flat Rock Camp Ground.

During this past Sunday’s service, the Heard County Sheriff’s Office and Franklin Police Department were presented with a hand-made wooden flag which contained a blue line.

The presentation was made by Prospect Church. The flag was made by Bobby Davis on behalf of the church.

“The ‘Thin Blue Line,’ as it is known, represents the solidarity of all law enforcement officers. It’s an understanding that all brothers and sisters of the law enforcement family are united and stand together between good and evil,” stated Heard County Sheriff Ross Henry.

“I’d like to thank Mr. Bobby Davis, Pastor Brandon Brooks and Prospect Church for the beautiful flag. I know that a lot of love, prayers and thoughtfulness went into the design and creation of the wooden flag. It will be proudly displayed in our office as a reminder to us of your graciousness.”

“The presentation of the flag means more to me and my officers at this time than words can ever express,” said Franklin Police Chief Kevin Hannah.

“I, to, wish to thank the members of Prospect Church, Pastor Brandon Brooks and Mr. Bobby Davis for the heartfelt gift. The flag will be treasured for years to come and put on display within the Franklin Police Department.”
