Comedienne Jeanne Robertson to perform in Carrollton

(Carrollton, GA) — Internationally-recognized comedienne Jeanne Robertson is coming to Carrollton for one night at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 21.

The show will be one of the first events at the new Carroll County Schools Performing Arts Center.

Tickets are on sale now for this fundraising event for the Community Foundation of West Georgia’s Power of the Purse.

Robertson’s show features humor based on her life experiences, and she has differentiated her humor by keeping it clean and respectful.

Tickets range from $25 to $50, and groups buying 10 tickets or more get a $5 discount off each ticket.

They are being sold through the Townsend Center online at townsendcenter.org, by phone at 678-839-4722 or in person at the Townsend Center during office hours (Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.).

For an additional $30, ticket holders may participate in a VIP reception with Robertson before the show.

Jeanne promises a hilarious show, featuring humor based on her life experiences.

Her stories about sending her husband to the grocery store, shopping for school clothes and white-water rafting in the Grand Canyon – among many others – are never mean-spirited. She refuses to use foul language or off-color content.

Not only does the price of the ticket give provide an amazing show; it also means that the Power of the Purse, a woman’s giving circle, can continue to issue grants every year in support of women and children’s initiatives in Carroll, Haralson and Heard counties.

More than $61,000 has been granted since 2009 to 19 local organizations.

    Be prepared to laugh. Love her stories about her husband. I can relate right along with her. If you want a night filled with laughter, as well as, helping out a wonderful cause, make sure you get your tickets for her show in Carrollton, GA on the 21st of September.
