Coweta Commission on Veteran’s Affairs presents Muster III,2012

Muster III presented by the Coweta Commission on Veteran’s Affairs will acknowledge Veterans who have sacrificed for their country by paying tribute to those who served since the Vietnam conflict.

It will recognize the Desert Shield/Storm conflict participants and will include those who served in Afghanistan, Iraq, and a number of less intense conflicts. That period is generally known as the War on Terrorism. Cold War participants will also be acknowledged.

The theme of Muster III will be “Military Operations – Post Viet Nam”. This local effort will specifically acknowledge those servicemen from Coweta County who made the ultimate sacrifice in those conflicts and whose names are listed on a plaque at the Veteran’s Memorial Plaza in Newnan.

A series of events are being planned for October 11-13, 2012. The centerpiece will be the remembrance of those who paid the supreme sacrifice and the honoring of their families, the unsung heroes.

The Primary Mission of CCVA is the education of the general public regarding the sacrifices made by our men and women who serve to keep this country free and to acknowledge the challenges faced by their families.

CCVA is pleased to announce that the plans for Muster IV, 2013, will be to recognize the 6oth Anniversary of the Korean War and to honor those who served in that conflict at home and abroad. You can follow CCVA at cowetacova.org or on facebook at ccvanewnan Your donations will be greatly appreciated. Please note that CCVA is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization.
