Election Day In Heard County

Voting Day July 26(Franklin, GA) — The Republican runoff for U.S. Congress District 3 is today in West Georgia.

Polling places around Heard County, and the rest of District 3, will be open today from 7 AM to 7 PM.

Current State Senator Mike Crane of Newnan and former West Point Mayor Drew Ferguson were the top two vote getters in the May 24 Republican primary for the congressional seat, which is being vacated by Lynn Westmoreland, from Coweta County.

The winner of the Republican runoff will face Democrat Angela Pendley of Grantville in November.

If you voted a Democratic ballot on May 24, you’re not eligible to vote in the Republican runoff.

If you voted Republican, nonpartisan, or didn’t vote at all on May 24, you can vote in the runoff, as long as you were registered and eligible to vote May 24.
