Fellowship of Christian Students collect items for local food pantry

The Heard County High School Fellowship of Christian Students and the Y-Club gathered at the store front of Piggly Wiggly Saturday morning, December 8, 2012, to gather food donations for the local food pantry for the holidays.

They collected canned goods, dry goods, and other non-perishable foods for several hours.

They also accepted cash donations which they used to purchase food inside the store themselves.

Y-Club advisor D.J. Curbow estimated that they were able to collect about $500 worth of food.
