Four Braves score touchdowns during scrimmage

Coach Tim Barron and his Braves traveled to Haralson County Friday night to battle the Rebels in a controlled scrimmage game.

The Braves dominated the scoreboard in the first half which ended in a 25-3 Braves advantage. After an early field goal by the Rebels, junior quarterback Jonathon Hunt scampered in from 24 yards away to put the Braves on top 6-3 and they never looked back.

Ta Freeland scored on a 94-yard touchdown rush in the 2nd quarter to put the Braves out front 12-3.

Sophomore Duranta Dunson and junior Tori Rogers also scored touchdowns before handing things over to the JV squad for the third quarter and the second string for the final quarter.

The Braves will face a much more difficult challenge this Saturday night when they travel to Lagrange to take on Callaway in the Pulpwood Classic (7:30 p.m. kickoff) at Callaway Stadium.
