Franklin City Council Member Recuperating in Warm Springs

The Mayor Pro Tem of the Franklin City Council, Mr. Johnny Adams, was moved to Warm Springs today to begin further rehabilitation after spending the last several days at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta.

According to his brother-in-law Mr. Donald Rogers, Adams suffered two strokes last Friday and had been hospitalized at Grady since that time.

Rogers reported that he is progressing in his recovery. A stay at the Warm Springs facility is common for recovering stroke patients.

Adams has served both the Franklin and Heard County communities as a civic leader for many years and in several different capacities.

Franklin Mayor Teresa Chapman released the following statement Thursday night: “I would like to ask that everyone keep Mr. Johnny and his family in your thoughts and prayers while he is on the mend.”

We here at the Heard Citizen would also like to extend to Mr. Adams our wishes for his full and speedy recovery.

Mr. Johnny Adams
