(Franklin, GA) — Over 3000 Hardee’s locations nationwide raised almost $1 million dollars in their ‘Stars for Heroes’ fundraiser.

This annual fundraiser benefits various charities that serve veterans and veteran families.

Hardee’s reports that 50 percent of these donated funds go to national charity beneficiaries and the remaining 50 percent goes to local or regional charities. This is the seventh year for the Stars for Heroes program.

Carla Brown, Regent, James Stewart Chapter, NSDAR, received a phone call from Sarah Barton, District Manager, and was asked to stop by last Wednesday for a special presentation at their Franklin location.

Regent Brown and other chapter members were greeted with flowers, balloons and a check for $8000 to continue with their ongoing service to the veterans of Heard County.

Regent Brown commented, “Our chapter is honored to be chosen as a ‘Stars for Heroes’ recipient for 2017. Our veterans are very special to us. They have sacrificed a part of their lives and it is our responsibility to show them our love and appreciation.”

Mike Vosika, Vice President, Capstone Restaurant Group stated, “We appreciate the local communities continuing support of this program.”
