(Franklin) — The Heard County High School drama club will be putting on their rendition of the production of A Christmas Chaos, a parody of the timeless Christmas play, A Christmas Carol.
The play will be held on December 13 and 14 at 7:00 pm in the Heard County Middle School gym. There will not be an admission fee, but donations are strongly encouraged.
“I really encourage everyone to come out to see the play,” stated group sponsor Laura Barido. “There is not a single dull moment throughout the entire production. After all, this will be their debut performance to the community, and they have all been putting so much effort and time into the play.”
The plot of the play basically is that the professional theatre group that was originally supposed to perform Charles Dickens’ story goes to the wrong location, so it is up to the local theatre group to put on the show. The title definitely says it all.
The play is filled with chaos and hilarity. Throughout the play, the audience will be introduced to a variety of different characters. This will include some that take the part seriously and others that are trying to make the best out of the hectic situation.
Freshman Shane Foster is starring as Ebenezer Scrooge. When asked how the play compares to the original story line, he stated, “It is a parody so it will be a more comedic take on the originally serious plot.”
A Christmas Chaos is appropriate for all ages so you can bring the whole family to enjoy it.
