(Franklin) — Heard County Deputies have been participating in on-going Response to Active Shooter training over the past year.

Deputies recently trained on “Emergency Go Packs”.  These are bags containing anything from emergency medical kits, tools to other life saving equipment Officers can use not only during active shooter situations, but in other emergency situations as well.

The deputies will continue this training throughout the year.

“I would like to thank Commissioner Lee Boone and the Board of Commissioner’s for their assistance in completing these bags. Commissioner Boone was able to obtain the back packs and medical kits from the Federal Surplus Program,” stated Heard County Sheriff Ross Henry.

“I’d also like to thank Sgt. Dan Boswell for putting the bags together and for his continued dedication to training our deputies.”
