Heartfelt thank you from the family of Sgt. Jeff Terrell

Jeannie, Peg and I wanted to thank each and every one of you that took the time to share kind words, prayers, cards, flowers, and especially the stories about my dad, Sgt. Jeff Terrell.

He lived a long full life, never meeting a stranger and always had a good joke or great story to tell! He was the greatest father and grandfather, loving us all without limits.

He stayed true to his family, faith and beliefs never letting the outside world change him regardless of what was happening around us.

Thank you also to the ones that took such good care of our house, our yard and our fur babies while we were out of town!

To the Georgia State Patrol, Capt Don Stolz, Capt Dixon and SGT Michael Land, words or actions cannot express the thanks for everything you personally did for our dad, The Honor Guard, the bagpiper, the bugler, the troopers off duty, the troopers on duty and lastly the Colonel and his staff, thank you for the love and compassion you all showed our dad in his final days and his send off.

Thank you to Stutts Funeral Home and the staff for the love shown to my family and the care shown to our dad. Hope Rogers Skinner, thank you for how wonderful dad looked.

Thank you to Rev Kevin Geter and Rev Ralph Caldwell for the words and remembrances.

To Jen Cooke-Strickland, your voice was that of an angel that day with his two favorite songs, thank you!

Thank you to your pianist as well, together you were amazing!

Thank you to Ephesus Baptist Church and the Ladys of The Fellowship, the meal you prepared for us was something that “J.F” would be upset he missed!

Russ Massa, you my friend, went above and beyond making sure dads information was where it needed to be, thank you!

My world and family will have a hole that will never be filled but knowing what all of you did, said or prepared for my family during this time is a memory we will cherish forever and we know it was for the great man who always gave the shirt off his back.

To close with his favorite joke: “Do you know where virgin wool comes from???…. UGLY SHEEP!!!!”

Love and respect,

Stuart Terrell and family
