(London, England) — Taylor Brazeal, a senior Braves cheerleader at Heard High School, is one of more than 500 high school cheerleaders and dancers from across the United States who will perform in the world famous London New Year’s Day Parade Thursday morning at 7:00 a.m. EST.

The individuals invited to perform in one of the most famous parades in Europe qualified for the trip after being selected as an All-American at one of the summer camps hosted by Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA), National Cheerleaders Association (NCA), United Spirit Association (USA), Universal Dance Association (UDA) and National Dance Alliance (NDA).

“I’m just so grateful for being able to have this experience,” said Brazeal from London Tuesday night. “It’s absolutely amazing! I am very thankful for everyone who has helped me get here.”

Brazeal left on a flight for London last Friday and has enjoyed touring areas of one of the most famous cities in the world including landmarks such as Buckingham Palace, The Tower of London, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Big Ben, and Westminster Abbey among others.

All-Americans are selected to try out based on superior cheerleading skills at camps across the country.

Only the top 12 percent of the cheerleaders who attend the summer camps earn the chance to march in the parade.

“This is the 26th year we’ve been able to bring talented cheerleaders to London, where they can showcase their skills to a very enthusiastic international audience,” says Mike Fultz, the Varsity International Event Coordinator in a press release.

The parade can be seen live at 7:00 a.m. EST on New Year’s Day by clicking on this link.
