(Franklin) — On May 16 and 17, the Heard County High School drama team will be presenting their rendition of the play “The Groom Has Cold Feet” written by Martin A. Follose. Their performance will take place at 7:30 pm at the Heard County Middle School gym.
This is the drama team’s first full length production, which includes three acts. Admission is free but donations are greatly encouraged.
“The Groom Has Cold Feet” is an interactive murder mystery. In other words, the audience will have an opportunity to participate and even help solve the murder.
The play stars Riley Curbow as the sheriff, Julianna May as the Sarah, the sheriff’s daughter, Shane Foster as the groom, Crystal White as Deputy Millie, Chance Bortle as Harley, Zach Hyatt as Virgil, Alexis Whitlock as the mother of the bride, Ivy Hyatt as Mabel, Hayley Hyatt as Della, Elexus Spradlin as Caroline, Mandy Bowman as Beverly, Ami Devlin as Darlene the saloon girl, Eric White as Sam, Paige Lovelace as Gladys, and Macey Freeman as the bride Kayla May.
Laura Barido, sponsor of the Heard County High School Players states, “I am so proud of everyone’s hard work, and we absolutely could not have done this production without the help of Judy May, who has supplied us with costumes yet again.”
The play is appropriate for all ages and will definitely be something fun for the entire family to enjoy. The drama team has put in an immense amount of effort into this play so make sure to come out and support them.
