High School Students Read to HES Children

(Franklin) — Some students from Heard High School visited Heard Elementary School in December to read Christmas stories to the children.

English/Language Arts Department Chair Amanda Horn accompanied about 75 of her junior and sophomore students throughout the day to read to a number of the elementary students.

Fourth block sophomores that visited and read to the kindergarten students with Mrs. Horn included Nick Bradley, Emily Iddins, Kaylee Neighbors, Alexis Nelms, Wyatt Snider, Sara Wiggins, Zack Atkins, Courtney Baron, Becca Burgess, Melissa Collins, Lori Estoll, Isaiah Eubanks, Thadeous Higgins, Lacey Hindman, Bryan Jones, Holly Moreland, Sara Ojeda, Amiah Person, Makayla Red, Shylie Richards, Brittany Scarborough, and Caitlin Shelnutt.

Third block juniors reading to the first graders were Bayne Allen, Harlie Bailey, Abi Benefield, Dekari Brewer, McKensie Chestnut, Hunter Clark, Bree Davis, Julia Edwards, Cheyenne Goolsby, Megan Jordan, Dekaii Ogletree, Harley Parker, Timothy Shoemake, Ronald Thrasher, Skylar Welborn, Avery Wright, and Montana Wright.

Second block juniors read to the Pre-K students.

These juniors included Dylan Arrington, Frankie Bales, Justin Barber, Shannon Bowling, Channa Cassell, Megan Cook, Chris Devlin, Peyton Ehlers, Kyle Elkins, Kyle Fomby, Luke Fomby, Ally Harris, Cody Head, Matt Holdridge, Heaven Jackson, Grace James, Alex Kidder, Sierra Laster, Kayla Lewis, Seth McCormick, Beau McCosh, Savannah Noojin, Justin Patterson, Farrah Smith, CJ Starnes, Garrett Tallent, Biscuit Troy, Chelsea West, Blake Wilson, and Cody Yates.
