(Franklin, GA) — The Heard County Middle School baseball team continues to roll this season as they prepare for the stretch run of the regular season and the upcoming middle school playoffs.
Prior to spring break, the squad scored big wins over Temple, Villa Rica, Bowdon, and Mt. Zion to push their impressive regular season record to 7-1.
Several Brave players are having huge seasons offensively including Will Alford who leads the team in hitting with a .571 batting average. Alford has a double, two triples, 11 RBI’s, 17 runs scored and he leads the team in stolen bases with eight.
Tyler Lasseter and Blake Oldham are two other Braves that are at the .500 mark or above. Lasseter is hitting .545 with a triple 11 RBI’s and Oldham is hitting .500 with three doubles and 11 batted in.
