Important Update on State and Federal Runoff Elections

(Franklin, GA) — The State Runoff Election originally scheduled for December 1, 2020 has been combined with the Federal Runoff for US Senate scheduled for January 5, 2021.

To make things simple, there will be a General Runoff Election January 5, 2021.

The races on the ballot will be Georgia’s two US Senate seats and one race for Public Service Commissioner.

The registration deadline for the Runoff will be December 7, 2020.

If you did not vote in the General Election or you discovered that you are not currently registered to vote, now is the time to check your voter registration status.

You may go to https://www.mvp.sos.ga.gov/MVP to check your current voter registration.

Voters 65 years of age or older or disabled that requested to be mailed a ballot for the entire election cycle will be sent a ballot beginning November 20, 2020.

The Secretary of State’s On-Line Absentee Ballot Request site is now active for absentee ballot requests: https://ballotrequest.sos.ga.gov/

Early Voting for the Runoff will be held as follows:

December 14 – 18      8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

December 21 – 23      8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

December 28 – 31      8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
