In Appreciation Of Those Who Served

(Franklin/Times-Journal) — On Tuesday December 20th Jim Bishop, Commander; Charles Norwood, Sr., Vice Commander; V.D. Massey, Finance Officer; and Lawrence Lipford, Adjutant and Chaplin; members of The American Legion Post 148 presented the veterans at Pruitt Health of Franklin a bag containing fruit and a box containing a blanket.

The gifts were prepared by Dianne Cordell, wife of the late LTC Dwight Cordell, the former past Commander.

LTC Cordell served as post Adjutant at the time that he passed away earlier this year. LTC Cordell was a vital part of The American Legion Post 148 and always enjoyed spearheading this project of delivering gifts to the shut in veterans each year.
