James Stewart Chapter members commemorate the NSDAR Day of Service

(Franklin, GA) — JSC members spent their morning at This Old Farmhouse GA, located on Hwy 27 in Franklin, GA.

Mary Lane, Conservation Chairman, led the group in a project to mark identified trees and heirloom plants located on the historic property.

The farmhouse museum is a non-profit established to explore the early homestead practices in Heard County in the 1920 – 1930.

This historic property and the conservation efforts from their founder, Bettina Vernon, has transformed the property into an exceptional learning opportunity for the citizens of Heard County and surrounding areas.

Private tours of the property are available upon request.

They have also received the NSDAR Conservation Medal for their organization.
