Latest COVID-19 update from Chairman Boone

To the Citizens of Heard County:

I hope all of you are well, and would like to commend the Brave Nation for doing your essential part in the fight to keep this invisible enemy out of our county.

Our “confirmed” case numbers are the same as last week, which demonstrates a unified team effort that is working.

If I was a coach shouting instructions to the team on the field it would be, “Hold the Line!”

This threat is not over yet, so DO NOT relax your personal protection standards, but be determined in your resolve to be accounted for when this ends, and “It Will End.”

Rest assured, that I am at work each day to ensure the continuity of our local government, and to see that there is no disruption in the essential services that must continue during these unprecedented times.

The health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Heard County continues to be my top priority, and it is more critical now than ever before.

Therefore, it has been incumbent upon me to lay politics aside for now, and concentrate my daily duties on the emergency at hand.

I write this with the same sincere emotions as if I could cross your threshold and speak to you personally.

These are uncertain times where information updates and/or changes daily, so please do not hesitate to call anytime for questions or needs you may have.

Lee Boone, Chairman

Heard County Board of Commissioners
