Letter to the Editor: Students Offer Helping Hand

Dear Editor,

I am an Occupational Therapist based in Peachtree City who provides healthcare services to patients in their homes and I had a flat tire Thursday morning in between patient visits.

I managed to make it to the Heard County High School parking lot where Alex Hale and Cameryn Phillips immediately parked beside me and asked if I needed any help.

I was still on the phone talking to AAA and had not even stepped out of my car when they approached me.

I asked them how they found out I needed help and they said they saw my tire deflated and thought I might need help.

Well, AAA said it will take them 2-3 hrs to get there and these boys were so eager to help me so I let them do a wonderful job in 10 mins!

I offered to give them cash to thank them for their kindness but they told me they don’t accept money and that all they needed was a handshake.

My heart melted and I was crying in my car because I felt God’s grace through these young men… So I THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. Words are not enough how grateful I am today because of Cameryn and Alex.

I would like thank you for bringing up and teaching these two boys how to help without expecting anything in return. Please extend my greatest thanks to their parents and families for raising them as such.

Heard County has some of the most respectful students in this community, and as Ms. Otico stated in her post, I, too, commend their parents for raising boys to be real men. A job well done!

    • Its an awesome inspiration to see young men like these two guys… Still exsis in todays world! !My congrats also goes out to the parents that raise their kids with wonderful morals and outstanding respect. And most importantly I hope these guys know what a true blessing they are for doing what is obviously their nature….to stop & help someone in need! They may or may not have been raised to be who they are so all the thanks is definitely owed to them. . Then to whoever rasied them most likely by example. πŸ’₯πŸ’•πŸ™πŸ™ŒπŸ‘πŸ‘ŒβœŒοΈπŸ™ƒπŸ˜πŸ’•
