Charlie Rennpage at the show with his work “Heard County Archives”
Local mosaic artist, Charlie Rennpage, had two pieces accepted into the Newnan Coweta Art Association’s juried art contest and show.
All of the works accepted are exhibited at the Coweta Centre for the Performing Arts from June 4, 2012 through June 24, 2012.
Charlie has been doing glass mosaic artwork for approximately five years and among other things, has completed renditions of the old Heard County Courthouse, the old Heard County Jail, Franklin First Methodist Church, and is currently working on Franklin First Baptist Church.
He is a self-taught artist who did not discover his passion for art and talent for mosaic art until he was in his late seventies.
He was a member of the Heard Art Association and contributed mosaic work to “Franklin’s Kite” labyrinth on the Chattahoochee Greenway walking trail. ~Submitted by Beth Burgoon
