Local Author/Cartoonist Shares The Bible From A Simple-Minded Point Of View

A series of books made a viral spread across the Internet last month written for people that want to learn more from the Bible in a simple and easy to understand way.

Local author/cartoonist, Jeff Todd, completed this challenging project that has taken him five years to finish. His 25-book series, entitled A Redneck’s Guide, includes a simplified commentary of the New Testament of the Bible that begins with Matthew and ends with Revelation.

In addition, the series offers The 5-Minute Sermons which share scripture as it relates to personal life experiences. Each book from the series gives ‘down-home’ Southern humor and cartoon illustrations to help the reader stay focused in their studies.

“The problem we have in society is that we are too busy to read God’s Word. We depend on preachers and teachers to read it to us once a week for about 45-minutes. That’s not how it’s supposed to be. The Bible is our spiritual food for our soul. We should be diggin’ in daily and treatin’ it like an all-you-can-eat buffet dinner.” says Jeff Todd.

As a ministry, A Redneck’s Guide series wants to reach the world with the Gospel and share Jesus with them. It’s a serious outreach mission that provides the truth of the Bible from a simple-minded point of view. The books became available in Europe a few weeks ago and are being sold in Germany, France and United Kingdom.

“Being a Christian doesn’t have to be a boring lifestyle. Actually, it should be energetic and alive. The day I read Proverbs 11:22, when it compares a beautiful woman to a pig with a nose ring, I realized that God has a sense of humor. He wants us to laugh and have fun. It’s this kind of life that leads others to Him. That’s what this ministry is all about.” says Jeff Todd.

A Redneck’s Guide Series is available from online bookstores on the Internet and from their official website, www.argstuff.com. Jeff Todd is also a guest writer for HeardCitizen.com in the Faith/Values section.
