Local FBLA member qualifies for National Leadership Conference

(Franklin, GA) — The Heard County High School Chapter of FBLA competed at the 2017 State Leadership Conference in Athens on March 12-14.

Congratulations to Mason Hudson for placing second in 3D Animation.

He will represent Georgia FBLA at the National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, California June 28-July 3.

Mason presented his 3D animation project to a panel of judges who scored him on the procedures used in the creation of the project.

Other competitors were:  Carmen Elrod and Vivian Meeks – Agribusiness; Mikayla Higgins – Healthcare Administration; Jessalyn Miller – Business Communication; Mason Hudson – Intro to Financial Math; Michael Payton – Intro to Information Technology; and Jessica Tatum – Journalism.

The Heard High Chapter earned the Silver Chapter of the Year Award. This honor is awarded to chapters who complete documentation of their yearly chapter activities, service projects, conference participation, and individual business achievement awards.

Chapter adviser, Mrs. Angela Thompson would like to thank the Heard High administrators, Mr. Kay, and the board members for their support of the FBLA chapter.
