(Indianapolis, IN) — The National FFA Convention & Expo is a sea of blue jackets – Future Farmers of America members from all corners of the nation converging in one place to celebrate their accomplishments and find inspiration for their next.

Motivational keynote speakers, energetic concerts, fulfilling workshops and a sweeping Expo floor bustling with agriculture education and industry opportunities will have you snapping pics and grabbing videos of all of the experiences you’ll remember forever.

Eight of the Heard County High School FFA officers attended the 89th National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana this past week.

Rachel Dyer, Cody Yates, Karley Lego, Marissa Hollingsworth, McKensie Chestnut, Nathan Pettway, Luke Fomby, and Kyle Fomby were accompanied by Tate Gosdin, a 2014 HHS graduate who received his American Farmer Degree.

Gosdin was one of 102 Georgia FFA members to receive the prestigious American FFA Degree, the highest degree offered to an active FFA member.

Tate spent years developing his Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) programs to reach this prestigious honor.
